Baseball Recap: Sinton Falls Short of Wimberley in the Playoffs

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Sinton couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wimberley Texans on Thursday. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Pirates couldn't push the score so high this time.

Clay Mitchell was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Sinton's loss dropped their record down to 28-8-1. As for Wimberley, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-7-1 record this season.

While Sinton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
