Volleyball Recap: Dr. Phillips' Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Dr. Phillips had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Colonial on Tuesday. The Panthers blew past the Grenadiers 3-0. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

One reason for the win was Dr. Phillips' just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-14, 25-13.

Samuel Mueller paced Dr. Phillips' offense, picking up seven kills. Mueller got some help from Nicholas Del Rossi and his 23 assists. Mueller also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Vitor Buss, racking up two apiece.

Dr. Phillips' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. As for Colonial, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season.
