Basketball Game Preview: Whitefield Academy WolfPack vs. St. Francis Knights

Whitefield Academy hasn't had much luck against St. Francis recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Whitefield Academy WolfPack will challenge the St. Francis Knights at 7:30 p.m. Whitefield Academy has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 1-2 during that stretch of close contests.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Whitefield Academy turned things around against King's Ridge Christian on Tuesday. They skirted past the Tigers 53-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the WolfPack have posted against the Tigers since January 26, 2018.

Meanwhile, St. Francis was able to grind out a solid victory over Mt. Bethel Christian Academy on Tuesday, taking the game 62-54.

Whitefield Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for St. Francis, they have also been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season.

Whitefield Academy came up short against St. Francis when the teams last played back in January of 2024, falling 76-65. Can Whitefield Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
