Poynette is 9-1 against Marshall since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Pumas will square off against the Cardinals at 5:00 p.m. Poynette will be looking to extend their current 14-game winning streak.

Poynette is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They came out on top against Lodi by a score of 7-3.

Meanwhile, while Marshall put up some runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Turner. The Cardinals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Trojans. The victory was familiar territory for the Cardinals, who have now won four matchups in a row.

The result came thanks to Kennedy Weisensel's shutout, as she gave up just six hits and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 21 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Marshall secured the win behind a pair of hitters. One of them was Makayla Nemec, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Poynette's victory bumped their record up to 21-2. As for Marshall, their win bumped their record up to 17-10.

Everything went Poynette's way against Marshall in their previous meeting on May 8th, as Poynette made off with a 12-0 victory. Will the Pumas repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
