Volleyball Game Preview: Francis W. Parker Colonels vs. Lake Forest Academy Caxys

The Francis W. Parker Colonels will venture away from home to take on the Lake Forest Academy Caxys at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Francis W. Parker is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.

On Tuesday, Francis W. Parker didn't have quite enough to beat Morgan Park Academy and fell 2-1.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Francis W. Parker sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-20, 15-25, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Lake Forest Academy beat Zion-Benton 2-0 on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Caxys.

While Lake Forest Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 26-24.

Lake Forest Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Francis W. Parker, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-12.

Francis W. Parker skirted past Lake Forest Academy 2-1 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Colonels since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
