Football Recap: Banks Skates Past Sutherlin with Ease + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Banks walked away with it. They blew past the Sutherlin Bulldogs 39-8 on Friday. Fans of the Braves have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 20+ points.

Nate Lyda had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 114 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, while also throwing for 202 yards and three TDs on only 15 passes. His longest rush was for an impressive 61 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Banks also got a significant boost from Henry White, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 109 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Banks was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 251 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 167 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Banks didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut White. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 109 rushing yards.

Banks' win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their offensive performance: the team's won by an average of 34 points thus far. As for Sutherlin, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-4.

As of now, neither Banks nor the Bulldogs have any future games scheduled.
