Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Adena). They rang in the new year with a 49-41 win over the Westfall Mustangs on Friday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their 12-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Adena's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-11. As for Westfall, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Adena and Westfall could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Adena (ranked 790th) will meet Hillsboro (ranked 353rd) at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Westfall will square off against Zane Trace at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday down 253 places (398 vs. 145).
