Baseball Recap: Clarke Gets the Win

Cardinal typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Clarke proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Comets 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Indians have posted against the Comets since June 7, 2023.

Clarke has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-17 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Cardinal, their loss dropped their record down to 15-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Comets beat Clarke by a score of 4-1 later that day.
