Last Tuesday, Kelso made easy work of Tumwater and carried off a 76-53 victory. Given Kelso's advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 40th, while Tumwater is ranked 138th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Mountain View's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They fell 69-57 to Evergreen.
Kelso's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Mountain View, their loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-5.
