Volleyball Recap: Borger Bulldogs vs. Canyon Eagles
Borger was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Canyon Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-20, 25-19.
Canyon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brylee McElroy, who had 23 assists and four digs. McElroy has been hot, having posted 18 or more assists the last six times she's played. London Gibson was another key player, getting 14 assists and eight digs.
Borger's defeat dropped their record down to 9-23. As for Canyon, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 21-14 record this season.
