Marinette not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since April 12th (when they won 18-0). They put the hurt on the Sturgeon Bay Clippers with a sharp 9-1 win. For the Marines, this counts as revenge for the 16-9 victory the Clippers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2019.

Justin Kruse spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Wyatt Stauss, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Levi Hanson, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

The win made it two in a row for Marinette and bumps their season record up to 13-9. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Sturgeon Bay, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-9.

As of now, neither Marinette nor the Clippers have any future games scheduled.
