Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three games, Gibsonburg finally came back down to earth last Sunday. They had to suffer through a 50-8 loss at the hands of Notre Dame Academy. The contest marked the Golden Bears' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

St. Mary Central Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Gibsonburg, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3.

St. Mary Central Catholic was taken down by Gibsonburg 62-20 in their previous matchup back in February. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point St. Mary Central Catholic was down 45-9.
