Metea Valley's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They never let the Westminster Christian Warriors get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. Considering the Mustangs have won six matchups by more than seven runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Michael Willhite was a standout: he scored three runs while going 2-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Armaan Shah also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Willhite wasn't the only one making solid contact: Metea Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westminster Christian only managed one hit.

Metea Valley's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Westminster Christian, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 5-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Metea Valley will host Waubonsie Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Mustangs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Westminster Christian, they will welcome Elmwood Park at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
