Football Recap: Hanover Central Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Friday just wasn't the day for Hanover Central's offense. They came up short against the Andrean Fighting 59ers on Friday, falling 21-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Wyatt Tewell threw for 107 yards on 13 of 24 attempts. Jacob Ferko was his top target, picking up 66 receiving yards. On the ground, Isaiah Buikema rushed for 62 yards.

A big part of Andrean's victory came down to the chemistry between Dylan Gore and his top target Tyler Vo. Gore threw for 89 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight passes while Vo picked up 73 receiving yards and two scores. Those two receiving touchdowns gave Vo a new career-high.

This is the second loss in a row for Hanover Central and nudges their season record down to 3-5. As for Andrean, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Hanover Central will host Hammond Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Andrean, they will venture away from home to square off against Lowell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
