Soccer Game Preview: Barstow vs. Oak Hills

The Barstow Aztecs will challenge the Oak Hills Bulldogs at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are still undefeated after seven-games, but that won't be the case come Saturday.

If Barstow beats Oak Hills with four goals on Saturday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Barstow put the hurt on Serrano with a sharp 4-1 win on Wednesday. With that victory, the Aztecs brought their scoring average up to 2.6 goals per game.

They hit Serrano with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Aloalii (Alo) Lealofi, Ahlias Gonzalez, Cornell Campbell, and Mina Attalla.

Meanwhile, Oak Hills kept a clean sheet against Carter on Tuesday. They blew past the Lions 3-0. The Bulldogs' defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four contests.

Barstow pushed their record up to 6-0-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four games. As for Oak Hills, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Barstow suffered a grim 4-0 defeat to Oak Hills in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Barstow avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
