Sidney proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by three) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Troy Trojans. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Yellowjackets have posted since August 19th.
Sidney had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 17-25, 25-15, 26-24, 15-12.
Kalesha Rush paced Sidney's offense, picking up 15 kills. Rush got some help from Marly Coons and her 25 assists. Finally, Gabriela Truesdale kept Sidney's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.
