Jackson County had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on the Habersham Central Raiders with a sharp 11-5 victory on Thursday. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Jackson County got a massive performance out of Brody Strickland, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave Strickland a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Mills, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Strickland wasn't the only one making solid contact: Jackson County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The Panthers are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Jackson County's win bumped their record up to 10-11. As for Habersham Central, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-10.

Jackson County and Habersham Central should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings. The Panthers (ranked 209th) will meet South Gwinnett (ranked 443rd) at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Habersham Central will challenge Madison County at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (136 vs. 323).
