Softball Recap: Rickards Takes a Loss

Rickards lost against Leon back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Raiders came up short against the Lions, falling 15-7. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alivia Scott was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Arriana Wilson, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3.

Rickards' loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Leon, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-4.

Rickards and Leon could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. The Raiders will face off against Buchholz at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (358 vs. 145). Meanwhile, Leon (ranked 237th) will meet Madison County (ranked 44th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
