Baseball Game Preview: Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls vs. Delaware Valley Terriers

The Point Pleasant Beach Garnet Gulls will challenge the Delaware Valley Terriers on Tuesday. Point Pleasant Beach is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

Point Pleasant Beach is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They put the hurt on South Amboy with a sharp 12-2 win. The victory was nothing new for the Garnet Gulls as they're now sitting on three straight.

TOMMY CONROY made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, CARSON PFEIFER was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of DANIEL STORCH, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Point Pleasant Beach kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Delaware Valley beat Metuchen 5-1 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Terriers.

Delaware Valley now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Point Pleasant Beach, their record now sits at 20-7.
