Baseball Recap: Herriman Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Herriman walked away with it. They came out on top against the Fremont Silverwolves by a score of 6-1 on Wednesday. The win was nothing new for the Mustangs as they're now sitting on three straight.

Herriman got a great performance from Mason Greeno as he struck out seven batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Those seven strikeouts gave Greeno a new career-high.

At the plate, Cameron Pettitt was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season. Ryker Renteria was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

The victory got Herriman back to even at 13-13. As for Fremont, their defeat ended an 11-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-7.

Herriman will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Silverwolves: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
