Softball Recap: Paloma Valley Takes a Loss

Paloma Valley's last matchup with Hemet could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's matchup on Monday. The Wildcats came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 11-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 7-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Brooklyn Berni made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Paloma Valley has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for Hemet, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.

While Paloma Valley had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
