Preview: Horizon Huskies vs. Higley Knights

The Horizon Huskies will stay at home for another game and welcome the Higley Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last three games Horizon has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

On Monday, Horizon narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Chandler 6-4.

Horizon got a great performance from Logan Price as he didn't allow a single earned run and only a hit over 4.2 innings pitched. Price has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Quinn Robbins, who went 1-for-2 with a stolen base and an RBI.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Higley's offense. They fell victim to a rough 7-0 defeat at the hands of Mountain Pointe on Thursday. Higley has not had much luck with Mountain Pointe recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Higley also got a good showing from Colin Nelson, who tossed four innings while giving up two earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits (he also only allowed one walk).

Horizon's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-5. As for Higley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
