Softball Recap: Noli Indian Braves vs. Rancho Christian Eagles
The matchup between Noli Indian and Rancho Christian on Wednesday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Noli Indian Braves wound up on the wrong side of a tough 24-11 walloping at the hands of the Rancho Christian Eagles. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
For Rancho Christian's part, Alex Buchanan made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. Buchanan was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her six plate appearances.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kaydence Erickson, who went 3-for-5 with a home run, two stolen bases, and five RBI. Caitlyn Griffith was another key contributor, scoring three runs while getting on base in five of her six plate appearances.
