After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Fall Creek, Stanley-Boyd was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Thorp Cardinals. This was a revenge game for the Orioles: when they faced off against the Cardinals last Tuesday, they had to take a 4-3 defeat.

Caitlen Ketterhagen spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on eight hits and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, Stanley-Boyd's win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Aaliyah Allard, who went 2-for-3 with two runs. That's the most runs Allard has posted since back in April.

Stanley-Boyd's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Thorp, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 8-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stanley-Boyd will venture away from home to take on Regis at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Orioles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Ramblers have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season. As for Thorp, they will head out to challenge Fall Creek at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
