Soccer Game Preview: Front Range Christian vs. Flatirons Academy

The Front Range Christian Falcons will head out to take on the Flatirons Academy Bison at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Front Range Christian knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Flatirons Academy likes a good challenge.

Front Range Christian is coming into the game fresh off a high-scoring shootout with St. Mary's that saw the pair combine for 25 shots on goal. The Falcons blew past the Pirates 10-2 on Saturday. Kailey Martin was a massive factor in the win as she booted in four goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Flatirons Academy was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Gilpin County could gain the upper hand on Wednesday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Front Range Christian's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 27 goals over those three contests. With that draw, Flatirons Academy's record moves to 4-2-1.

Front Range Christian might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Flatirons Academy in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
