Recap: Malcolm Clippers vs. St. Paul Wildcats
The Malcolm Clippers stacked a fifth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They breezed by St. Paul on the road to the tune of 62-29. Given Malcolm's advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while St. Paul is ranked 189th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Malcolm's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Keira Farritor led the charge by dropping a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Farritor has scored all season. Halle Dolliver was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Despite the loss, St. Paul still got an impressive performance from Gracie Kelley, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Malcolm has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for St. Paul, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Malcolm will take on Nebraska City at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nebraska City is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for St. Paul, they will be playing at home against Centura at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Centura has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
