Game recap: Fuchs and Wright drive Calabasas past Oak Park

Ike Fuchs ran for two touchdowns and Anthony Wright added three as well as Calabasas (Calif.) upset Oak Park (Calif.) 51-20 on Saturday.

The Coyotes were up 34-7 at the half after taking the lead on a touchdown run by Wright in the second quarter.

Calabasas expanded its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. CHS scored once in the quarter on a Fuchs touchdown pass to Anthony Freeman .

The Coyotes put up 27 points in the second quarter en route to the win. Calabasas rushed for four touchdowns on the ground during the quarter, including two by Fuchs .

Fuchs played well for CHS in the victory. The senior quarterback threw one touchdown and kicked one field goal and five extra points.



The Eagles' Matt Byer was the standout player for his team. The junior wide receiver ran for one touchdown and caught one touchdown. He has now scored four touchdowns on the season.

The defeat comes as a step back for Oak Park, which notched a 39-14 victory over Simi Valley in its previous outing. The win was a nice bounce back for the Coyotes, which lost to Royal last week, 37-7. The victory snapped Calabasas' 2-game losing streak. The loss snapped Oak Park's 2-game winning streak.

Calabasas (1-2) will play a non-conference game against Simi Valley next week, while Oak Park (2-2) will take on El Segundo also in a non-conference game.
