Hernando had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.5 goals) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Tigers who were credited with the win. The Hernando Tigers got it done in the shootout by posting six goals to the Tupelo Golden Wave's five. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 back in December of 2025.

Gavin Walker was the driving force of Hernando's attack as he scored both of Hernando's goals, bringing his season total up to seven goals.

Hernando's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Tupelo, their loss dropped their record down to 9-4-4.

Looking ahead, Hernando will square off against DeSoto Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Tupelo, they will face off against Horn Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tupelo are facing Horn Lake at the right time seeing as Horn Lake are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
