Basketball Recap: Oak Harbor Comes Up Short

Oak Harbor lost against Anacortes back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Oak Harbor Wildcats fell to the Anacortes Seahawks 65-61. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the Seahawks are ranked 59th).

This is the second loss in a row for Oak Harbor and nudges their season record down to 4-13. As for Anacortes, they moved to 12-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Oak Harbor will challenge Nooksack Valley at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Oak Harbor is facing Nooksack Valley at the right time seeing as Nooksack Valley is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Anacortes, they will face off against Lynden at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Lynden will roll in looking for their 19th straight win, something Anacortes surely won't give up without a fight.
