Preview: Franklin Central Flashes vs. Avon Orioles
The Franklin Central Flashes will be playing at home against the Avon Orioles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, Franklin Central came up short against Hamilton Southeastern and fell 58-46. Franklin Central has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Avon's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They fell 63-50 to Zionsville.
Despite their loss, Avon saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Kendrick Dunmore, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds and two blocks, was perhaps the best of all. Another player making a difference was Miguel Correa, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Franklin Central's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 9-10. As for Avon, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.
