Baseball Recap: Breathitt County Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Breathitt County challenged Lewis County on Saturday. The Bobcats fell just short of the Lions by a score of 7-6. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2021.

Sebastian Howard was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3. Aiden Combs was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

This is the second loss in a row for Breathitt County and nudges their season record down to 8-6. As for Lewis County, they moved to 3-9 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Breathitt County has already played their next match, a 10-6 loss against Harrison County on the 12th. As for Lewis County, they will be playing at home against Greenup County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Lions are facing the Musketeers at the right time seeing as the Musketeers are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
