Basketball Recap: Animo Pat Brown Comes Up Short

Animo Pat Brown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They fell 47-35 to the New Designs Watts Knights. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Gryphons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-26 last Tuesday.

New Designs Watts' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Magic Haynes led the charge by dropping a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Haynes has scored at least a third of New Designs Watts' points. Martavius Watson was another key player, going 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points.

Animo Pat Brown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for New Designs Watts, they pushed their record up to 4-11 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.
