Basketball Recap: Newark Central Takes a Loss

Newark Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They received a blow as they fell 53-39 to the Verona Hillbillies. The Blue Devils were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Hillbillies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2022.

Newark Central's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Verona, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

While Newark Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
