Baseball Recap: Johnstown-Monroe Comes Up Short

Johnstown-Monroe was the 14-4 winner over Licking Heights when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Johnnies fell just short of the Hornets by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday. The Johnnies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Carter Holbrook made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Johnstown-Monroe is 2-1 when Holbrook posts two or more runs, but 5-7 otherwise.

Johnstown-Monroe now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Licking Heights, their victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-13.
