Volleyball Recap: Minooka Comes Up Short

The Minooka Indians came up short against the Bolingbrook Raiders on Tuesday and fell 2-0.

Minooka was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-20.

Jayce Moore paced Minooka's offense, picking up 11 kills. Moore got some help from Nicholas Boyce and his 15 assists. Moore was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Minooka has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season. As for Bolingbrook, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-5.

Minooka has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Oswego on the 1st. As for Bolingbrook, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Romeoville on the 1st.
