East Poinsett County had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They skirted past the Bay Yellowjackets 69-66. The win was nothing new for the Warriors as they're now sitting on five straight dating back to last season.

East Poinsett County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was AJ Johnson, who went 5-for-12 en route to 11 points in addition to seven boards and six steals. Another player making a difference was Jarius James, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 20 points.
