Basketball Recap: Doniphan West Beats Jackson Heights for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Doniphan West walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Jackson Heights Cobras with a sharp 52-30 victory on Wednesday. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 20 points or more this season.

Chesnea Cochren and Nicole Amon certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Cochren posted 12 points, while Amon earned six points and seven boards. Cochren is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 42% in the last four games she's played.

The win (which was Doniphan West's fourth in a row) raised their record to 17-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.8 points. As for Jackson Heights, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-16.

Doniphan West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 39-35 victory against Wabaunsee on the 7th. Jackson Heights does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
