Basketball Recap: Asaias Stover and Xavier Abernathy Secure Win for Bloomfield

Bloomfield had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 67-52 victory over the Cuba Rams. That's more bragging rights for the Bobcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Leading Bloomfield to victory were Xavier Abernathy and Asaias Stover. Abernathy went 5 for 9 on his way to 15 points in addition to six rebounds and five assists, while Stover posted 11 points. The dominant performance gave Stover a new career-high in points. Tayetum Callado was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Bloomfield's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Cuba, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Bloomfield wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 59-43 defeat against Taos on the 13th. As for Cuba, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 67-46 loss against Tohatchi on the 13th.
