Indian Creek's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Sullivan Golden Arrows 8-7. This was payback for the Braves, who suffered a 15-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Delaney Jones spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and two unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Amelia Woodke, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kelsey Campbell, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Indian Creek is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Sullivan, their defeat ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Indian Creek is taking a road trip to challenge Cloverdale at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Clovers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.2 runs per game on average), something the Braves will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Sullivan, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-3 win against North Putnam on the 16th.
