Basketball Game Preview: Hartford Hurricanes vs. Fair Haven Slaters

Hartford has won three straight games at home, while Fair Haven has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Hartford Hurricanes will host the Fair Haven Slaters at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Friday, Hartford blew past Windsor, posting an 81-33 victory. The win continues a trend for the Hurricanes in their matchups with the Yellowjackets: they've now won nine in a row.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fair Haven). They claimed a resounding 80-50 victory over Mt. St. Joseph Academy.

Fair Haven has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points over those games. As for Hartford, their win bumped their record up to 13-3.

Hartford didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Fair Haven in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 51-47 victory. Will Hartford repeat their success, or does Fair Haven have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
