Volleyball Recap: Chugiak Beats West Anchorage for Their Third Straight Win

Chugiak entered their tilt with West Anchorage on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 2-0. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-0 win back in September.

Elise Kelley paced Chugiak's offense, picking up seven kills. Kelley got some help from Oliviya Rodriguez and her 14 assists. Kelley was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Chugiak's win bumped their record up to 25-11-1. As for West Anchorage, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-26-3 record this season.

Chugiak has already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Soldotna on the 25th. As for West Anchorage, they will host Eagle River at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
