Basketball Recap: Freeman Takes a Loss

Freeman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 55-39 bruising from the Hermitage Panthers. The match marked the Mavericks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Freeman's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Hermitage, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Freeman won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Godwin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hermitage, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll challenge J.R. Tucker at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Hermitage's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six matchups.
