After flying high against Pauls Valley last Tuesday, Purcell came back down to earth. The Purcell Dragons' rough 15-1 defeat to the Washington Warriors on Thursday might stick with them for a while. Purcell has not had much luck with Washington recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Bryce Blair made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was Cole Smedley, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
