            Baseball Recap: Christian Fellowship vs. Van-Far Indians        
        
		
        
        
            Christian Fellowship let Van-Far stack four runs on them in the seventh inning  on Thursday but luckily Christian Fellowship prevailed anyway. Christian Fellowship sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with  an  8-7  victory over Van-Far. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Christian Fellowship.

 Jack Papineau and  Brett Conklin did most of the damage at the plate:  Papineau  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with three  stolen bases and one  run, while  Conklin  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with two  runs and two  RBI. Conklin is becoming a predictor of Christian Fellowship's success: when he posts  at  least two  runs the team is 4-1 (and 3-4 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of  Noah Prill, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
 Christian Fellowship  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .513. They are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Christian Fellowship pushed their record up to 7-5 with the  win, which was their sixth straight  at home. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Van-Far,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 10-7.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Fellowship will head out to  take on Sturgeon  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Van-Far, they will venture away from home to  challenge Marion County  at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday.
