Baseball Game Preview: Cushing Tigers vs. Glenpool Warriors

For the second straight game, Cushing will face off against Glenpool. The Tigers will welcome the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

While Cushing's victory against Glenpool wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Warriors 6-4. The victory continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won five in a row.

For Glenpool's part, Denim Sands spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. Sands has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Brady Terronez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Cushing's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Glenpool, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-11.
