Basketball Game Preview: Kouts Mustangs & Fillies vs. Marquette Catholic Blazers

The Kouts Mustangs & Fillies will face off against the Marquette Catholic Blazers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Kouts' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.

Kouts took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They breezed past Tri-Township to the tune of 71-21. The Mustangs & Fillies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matches by 21 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Marquette Catholic's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Victory Christian Academy by a score of 68-66.

Marquette Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Kouts, their victory bumped their record up to 19-4.

Kouts was able to grind out a solid win over Marquette Catholic when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 70-62. Will Kouts repeat their success, or does Marquette Catholic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
