Soccer Recap: Cherryville Takes a Loss

After soaring to five goals the game before, Cherryville was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They came up short against the East Gaston Warriors, falling 9-0. Cherryville have struggled against East Gaston recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.

Cherryville's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for East Gaston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4-2 record this season.

Cherryville and East Gaston will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Ironmen see the pitch they'll take on Highland Tech at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th. As for East Gaston, their break will end when they face Burns at 6:00 p.m. on the 29th.
