Volleyball Recap: Marion Comes Up Short

Marion was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Rose-Wolcott Cougars. The Black Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Marion's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for North Rose-Wolcott, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Marion will take on Palmyra-Macedon at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for North Rose-Wolcott, they will challenge East Rochester at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
