Hawley is 9-1 against Wadena-Deer Creek since March of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Hawley Nuggets will welcome the Wadena-Deer Creek Wolverines at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Having struggled with three losses in a row, Hawley turned things around against Pelican Rapids on Friday. They walked away with a 60-50 win over the Vikings. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Nuggets' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Vikings are ranked 30th).

Meanwhile, Wadena-Deer Creek was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Bertha-Hewitt 58-27. The Wolverines have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 25 points or more this season.

Wadena-Deer Creek is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 14-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Hawley, their win bumped their record up to 9-10.

Hawley didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Wadena-Deer Creek in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 43-37 victory.
