Volleyball Recap: St. Johns Takes a Loss

St. Johns lost against Plymouth Christian Academy back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Redwings fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. The Redwings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gracyn Woodbury paced St. Johns' offense, picking up ten kills. Woodbury got some help from Lillie Alsup and her 16 assists. Woodbury was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

St. Johns' loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Plymouth Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Looking ahead, St. Johns will square off against Haslett at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Plymouth Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 defeat against Catholic Central on the 6th.
